Introduction

We are looking to travel to China in the near future and wanted to introduce our new daughter. We do not know much but will include a picture. She is eight years old. She was six when we said, "Yes." The next day she turned seven. Whew! What a whirlwind this past year has been for us. We were not planning on adopting at the time. In fact, we were just beginning to look around a little. We have adopted before (US foster care) and couldn't have asked for a better kid. A nice pair, our two boys made being only 4 1/2 months apart. It was so much fun. Very surprising to me, is the fact that it has been ten years since Jared came. Where has the time gone?

Anyway, we found Ge Ying-Ying on the waiting children's page for China and thought that she was interesting. She said that she wanted brothers and liked dirt and cars. Well...being farmers and a family with only boys, we had all of that to offer and more.

This is what we know about her. She is now eight (April 28th.) She is in an orphanage in Beijing, China. She was born with clubfeet on both sides. She has had some corrective surgery but may require more here in the States. She does not speak English, that we know of.

So our visit to China should be interesting. I am trying to learn a little Chinese but really have not gotten far.

Check out her picture...She's pretty cute!
