The Result: Peace and Joy

It seems like a long time has passed since we posted that we were going to China. Since then, a problem arose that took a whole day of calls and negotiations to fix. We were told on Tuesday morning that the tickets that we booked on Wednesday would need to be changed and our trip would need to be rescheduled again. Oh, how our hearts broke...again we were being pushed back.

I know that our adoption agency could sense our disappointment and frustration, though I (Angie) tried not to show it. I felt bad for them, to be the messenger with such bad news cannot be fun.

Anyway, in order to transfer those tickets to the later date, a $250. fee per ticket was going to result. $1000.00 down the tubes...we were stunned.

A huge shout out to the agency, they worked tirelessly and renegotiated with China (after their personal work day was over because of the twelve hour time difference.) At ten o'clock that night, we were called with the good news that our trip could go on as planned and tickets would not require any change.

It took all day and many hardworking people to make this happen and we are grateful but I have to admit we were (and are) quite tired from the emotional upheaval of the last couple of days.

I hope that by dealing with all of these problems throughout this whole process we will find that peace and joy are the result of all this hard work.
