Shoe Success

Today we walked the square and the Forbidden City. Our guide talked to Jacie and told that we thought her feet would do better in the new shoes with all of that walking. She complied. She thought that her feet were quite hot (she was right), and she would never admit it but she did walk better. Tonight we go for the new clothes.

Still having trouble understanding even the simple things that we thought we had under control. We ask her if she is hungry she signals no, but is ready to chow down when we get something for the boys or ourselves. Today she told Cindy that she didn't have breakfast, when of course she did.

We also were told that she was in a foster home for six years but she insists that she was in the orphanage her whole life.

Apparently the Prime Minister was the visitor of the orphanage when we went. No wonder the workers were nervous. Supposedly he only visits once a year.....now how did we pull that off?
