One Freshly Scrubbed Chinese Girl in a Dirty Black and White Dress

So the title was a giveaway...

We did accomplish the bath thing. This morning with no hassles until we tried to get her into another set of clean clothes. Nope. She will change nothing of her clothing, including undergarments...I told Bart that she may cost a lot to feed but in the clothing dept. we were all set.

Today we are gearing up for the battle over the shoes. While she wasn't looking yesterday, I smuggled her sandal out and picked her a good solid pair of tennis shoes. You'll remember that last time we went she cried...I am bringing the new shoes with us and letting the guide (who speaks Mandarin help.) Thank Goodness for her. But I made a big mistake. I painted her nails pink, I don't think that will help when we want to cover them with socks and shoes...

She is quite the diva. She loves her necklace, watch (mine) and outfit. She sleeps in all of them and wears them all day...You will probably smell us coming before you see us when we get home!

Unfortunately, we cannot get our schedule regulated. I went to bed at 3:30 PM AND AWOKE AT 10:00. There is a lot of night left at ten o'clock. The boys are struggling with it too. I told them we are not going to bed until 8 or later tonight and not to let me try to talk them into it.

I turned our room into a Chinese laundry this morning. We needed clean clothes and I wasn't sure how much it was to have them laundered in the hotel, so I thought, why not try it myself??

Big mistake. It was so muggy and hot in there, plus water was everywhere. I doubt any of the clothes will dry and we will end up having them laundered anyway...it was worth a try though.

A big congratulations to my brother, Tony and his bride Satomi on Sunday...I hope that it was a good day for you both. Angie
