Still A Chinese Laundry...

Another dark morning in Beijing. We can see a little of the city skyline this morning, we could yesterday as well. Usually not for long though...

We have been enjoying watching the people from our eleventh story room window. There are some men who through this whole holiday, have played cards on the steps of the bank below us. All day long. We use the camera lens to focus in our their cards and 'play' with them from a distance.

Today we go to finalize the adoption and process her passport and notary. We are excited that there is an activity planned. Then tomorrow, we will go to the medical exam and tour Old Beijing?? Not sure what that is but hope that it is not as hot and humid when we do. The kids (all of them) were exhausted by the end of the Forbidden City.

The Chinese Laundry idea did not go so well as I have been nursing the clothes along to dry since. Our room looks like a Chinese Laundry all over now because there in so little air movement that things were not even starting to dry. Perhaps in the next 5 days, the clothes will dry and we will be able to start over again...

I have ventured out of the hotel on my own several times. There is not much to see within range of the hotel and I am afraid that I will not find my way back if I venture too far. So I walk around and give the locals someone to stare at and talk about. At least that's entertaining for someone.

We'll check in later. Angie
